Disability Retirement Benefits Membership Provisions Miscellaneous Public Safety Employee Benefit Retirement Eligibility

Amends the Second Class County Code (Act 230 of 1953) to provide a retirement allowance plus a service increment for police officers, firefighters, county detectives, sheriffs and deputy sheriffs who incur a permanent mental or physical impairment in the line of duty, regardless of age or years of service.

House Bill 608 is a re-introduction of House Bill 107 of the 2015-2016 Legislative Session.
