Administrative Operations Membership Provisions Miscellaneous Normal Retirement Benefits
Amends the Public School Employees' Retirement Code (Title 24) to prohibit associations that receive membership dues from a public school entity (i.e., the Pennsylvania School Boards Association) from being recognized as a "government entity." Employees hired on or after the effective date of the bill would be ineligible to become members of PSERS and receive a retirement benefit from the system.
House Bill 205 is a re-introduction of House Bill 1084 of the 2015-2016 Legislative Session.
