Synopsis:

Amends Title 24 (Education) to allow members of PSERS an extended athletic leave of absence. Amends Title 71 (State Government) to permit members of SERS who are part of an official United States delegation for athletic competition an extended leave of absence up to 90 calendar days. During the leave of absence, employees would retain membership in SERS and continue to accrue benefits.

Comment:

The requirements for an athletic leave of absence for members of PSERS are addressed in Senate Bill 537, P.N. 651.
