Cost of Living Adjustments

Provides cost-of-living adjustments for certain SERS and PSERS annuitants that retired prior to July 2, 2001. Adjustments range from 10-20% of current annuities depending on year of retirement. Adjustments would be effective beginning July 1, 2023 (PSERS) or January 1, 2024 (SERS). For PSERS, the Commonwealth would be responsible for the entire cost of the COLAs (no amount would be paid by local school districts).
